More about our Project with Deloitte

Deloitte advises companies and organisations on their strategic orientation. Our project with the Center of Excellence "Center for the Long View" was about data flows that can be evaluated using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Based on this evaluation, strategic decisions can be made.

Our task was the visualization of an AI-generated data set using a Web-Application (the Gnosis Tool). On the one hand, we needed a proper UX design for AI to present the data volume in a comprehensible and structured way for the user. On the other hand, the designs were implemented by our software engineers using the web framework Angular to quickly develop a prototype.

Agile Leader in a highly dynamic environment

We tested different ways to apply UX principles to an AI-generated data set. Our experience in handling large amounts of data paid off here. Our goal was to identify user problems and test different solutions to get the best out of the application. Ultimately, we were able to identify the core problems of the users, filter the essential information and make this information visible at first glance.

700,000 news articles are analyzed by the AI tool "Gnosis" per week. An analyst would need 17.5 years for this.

The user must not drown in the flood of data! It was important for the success of the project to implement only those features that are of value for the user. Hence, we avoided unnecessary implementation efforts to develop a functional prototype as quickly as possible and to use resources wisely. This prototype had to also run smoothly and stably to meet the high-quality demands of its users.

A fully functional prototype with UX Design- developed quickly and fully agile

Due to the preceding UX process, we were able to develop a fully functional prototype in a very short time. With efficient communication and goal-oriented project management, we set an agile development process in which we constantly expanded the prototype in two-week sprints in ever new iterations.

Last but not least, we owed our rapid progress to a consistently agile development process which already mastered many projects in a very short time. Despite the challenge of locally distributed teams: including our frontend, the backend team of the customer side and the DevOps team, we were able to work together effectively and act as one team thanks to efficient communication processes.

The fusion of user-centered design and agile development is the key to great products.
